Fortunately Toby likes the lady who gives him haircuts. I would have waited and let it grow out with the cool weather, but I'm not actually voting member of the deciding committee of one. I only serve in an advisory capacity.
He does look nice in his sweater though.

He looks adorable in his sweater! Did Dana have a dog before Toby or did you timeshare?

We've almost always had two dogs. At one point, three. And she's always claimed one. But Toby is the first that claimed her back. He is fine with me and recognizes my authority and plays with me but he is dedicated to Dana. He sits on the couch waiting for her return when she is gone and never lets her out of his sight when she is in the house. It is sweet and good for the both of them. Fortunately he's young, maybe 3, and will live a long time.

Aha, it makes sense you've had more than one, as Zoe is so very much your dog. It must be lovely for Dana to have that with Toby.
