I'm Smart again

bill_schubertWell, it was a $4135 oil change plus whatever the two tires cost once the order gets two Discount Tire. I think the pair of tires was $360 or so. At least I get a bunch of cash back on my credit card.
But the car is running great and I'm confident in it and close by a dependable shop if there is a problem. I don't think I'll have to do any maintenance again on the car. Just oil changes and checkups. And tires. All the stuff that wears out has been replaced. Painful but it is nice to have my car back. I didn't realize how much I missed it until I was tooling up the road on the way home.
It decided to be cold today. The front moved across about the same time I picked up the car. Wouldn't matter much but I've not walked the dogs yet. It is supposed to warm up a bit in the next hour or so. We'll go then.
I was all set last night to call the orthopedist. I even have the page up in my browser. My knee (after market) has been bothering me and it got a lot worse yesterday during pickleball. I've been waffling for a while about whether I need PT, ortho, someone to work with me exercising (outside of pt) or just need to do it myself. I've not done much at all and can't tell if the pain is just because I've let the surrounding muscles atrophy some or if there really is a problem. I did go a year or so ago and have them check the knee and he said it was fine. No issues in X-ray or by manipulating it. I could go back. It wouldn't be a big deal and Medicare would pay. I'm not sure what's keeping me away. Mostly, I think, as I believe the problems are self induced. I've ridden my bike once in months and that is enough to get a sore ass but not much help in the muscles. And other than pb and walking I'm not doing much.
Eventually it will hurt enough I'll do something about it. Or it will go away.
