Twitter

A fairly brief cruise through Twitter today was interesting.

First, I need another shower.

Secondly, and here was a first and last time slog through the Infowars tag, how do I go about getting a jewmaster?  The people who have one seem to be doing pretty well and I have bills to pay.  I'm bereft.

139 days to early voting.

Wow, you took me aback with that one. I thought some of the parts of Twitter I'd seen were foetid but that's... I will not be pursuing the Infowars tag anytime soon. Time to make a 139-day calendar and start crossing things off.

Yeah, Infowars created by Alex Jones is the slime of the earth. He is banned from nearly all media now so seldom hits the air but his creation, Infowars, is the place where the lowest of the low hang out and compare conspiracy filth. They are the John Birch Society of yesteryear but with a much more efficient and sophisticated megaphone. I wanted to see, for a moment, just how far the rabbit hole went yesterday. No need to repeat.

I'm heartened by the increasing stupidity of the current administration and by urging of George Floyd's family to get out the vote. I can see a landslide potential all down the ballot. Whether that potential will be realized is anyone's guess but the numbers voting in November's election will exceed any previous by far and many more will be black and brown so we'll get a glimpse of the future.

I'd heard of him (they even had a fictionalised version of him on Homeland), but the detail, like the news coming out of the US every day, is always worse than you could have imagined. I really hope all of this is remembered in November. It seems ridiculous to suggest it wouldn't be, but even a day is a long time in the reign of Mr Tangerine as new and bigger outrages come along to replace the old. I'm crossing my fingers very hard that Obama will be front and centre encouraging voting. If anyone can get people out, he can.
