And it pretty much worked out
They guys that did the work were good. It is not too difficult a job if you've done it as often as they have. They back the truck up, run the hose, blow the stuff into my attic.
Little quirk. The shortest run is through this window..... you don't mind pulling all the stuff in your office out of the way while we run this hose, do you?
They didn't say that, didn't have to, I figured it out. A head's up would have been nice but I think that was on the sales person.

Out of my office and up to the attic.. oh, yeah, can you take all the pictures down too?

They left things pretty clean and took from 8:30 to 10:30 all total.
It is still hot out. And not really cool in here. I suspect it will show up, if anywhere, in the electric bill. We'll see.
I'm running a Nest thermostat and it has an 'Eco' setting that is supposed to detect if you are in the house and then economize the settings if you are gone. Of course what it really does is detect if you are within range of the Nest thermostat. Maybe if I had Google instead of Alexa, it would know that I'm in one of the other rooms all of which have an Alexa within earshot.
The Eco keeps cutting in and running the temp up three or four degrees. This time of day (104 outside) it takes two+ hours to get it back of constantly running A/C during which time we're hot.
I turned Eco off for now.
Actually I need to look at a Nest alternative. This one has been working for five years now so it is bound to die one day. I need to be ready.
ATM I'm softening butter and cream cheese to ice the spice cake I took out of the freezer, remains of what I baked a couple of weeks ago. I think we're going to kick off the birthday early. Definitely running it late. I thought of something else that needs birthday attention so we'll likely have BD1, BD2, and BD2.1.
Sigh. So many birthdays.

It's a nice 78 when we wake up, but by 10am it's at 81, then somewhere in the afternoon when it's 100+ out it sets itself to 84. Which is contextually understandable but not very comfortable.
