Blues continued

I've found a place to stay.  It was listed on VRBO and is so inexpensive I'm concerned enough I'm going to get a back up hotel reservation to cancel as late as possible.  The place could not be much more perfect.  Here is the link.  One of the pictures is of the Pavilion where the concert is happening.  It makes it seem like you are looking down on it from the property but that is not the case.  Fortunately.  They don't actually give the address on the site but I found the property on Google Maps and it is 413 2nd St S in Jax Beach.  Turns out to be about 3/4 of a mile from the event which is maybe perfect. Close enough to have a nap during that one group we really don't like who are playing when it is too hot..

So, dogs, check, place to stay, check.

Got to reserve a flight and that's about it.

Not like I've got to buy a wardrobe.  I've got my swim suite and sandals and t-shirts and the place has a washer.  I'm thinking an overhead bag. It will be interesting to see if Dana can do an overnight bag too.  No checked baggage would be nice.  Probably wishful thinking.  She needs to have her surgical equipment with her in case I have an appendix problem or something.

We've had great deals on VRBOs before. The last one we stayed in was the former home of the owners' parents who had passed away. It was in great condition and paid for, and the owner turned it into a VRBO rather than selling it when her parents died. She made some extra money and gave people a good deal. Win/win. Not that it hurts to have a backup plan. ;)

I've used VRBO quite a bit in the US and Airbnb all over the place and have been lucky so far. I find Airbnb a bit more reliable in that you can choose a property with a Superhost (and I do). They seem pretty motivated to keep their Superhost ranking so that's a bit of extra security. I suspect though everyone's luck will run out sooner or later. Hopefully you've now got your one per lifetime snafu out of the way.

Nice! The thing I rate the highest about VRBO or Airbnb is if it's clean. That looks very clean. Don't tell Dana about the medical kit a friend of mine once saw advertised that included a bone saw.
