Next Door

I get an email every once in a while with the top contributions in Next Door. By its charter the entries are from our area and so, occasionally, of interest. Car breakins, rattle snake migrations, and such. Mostly I like to read them for the comedy. People getting riled up over the most insignificant thing until it becomes a national debate. So when I saw this headline in my email I had to read the top entries:

Capture

As you might imagine things got out of hand almost immediately.  I won't even bother to list the comments but bouncing off the premise that Google is 'sponsering' (sic) a Chinese based company you get the idea.  It was a very entertaining run down the intellectually lined rabbit hole that is central Texas politics.

Somehow it did not morph into a debate about Tic Toc, not sure how, or freedom of speech that is the PornHub debacle.

We're having some fun now days in Texas.

Apparently Temu is losing something like $30 on each order currently, so I like to think I'm doing my bit to bring down the commie menace every time I order some new gadgets.
