Well, here's the wrench

An analogy I thought up during the elections to describe what MAGA wants was this scene from Good Will Hunting.  

I feel like the majority of the U.S. wants the wrench because, well, fuckem'.

Well, now we've got the wrench.  I'm already saving an enormous amount of time not reading about it.  Things are going to happen whether I like them or not and I don't feel obligated to be immersed in the minutia.  There are people who will do that.

I'm focusing on mind work.  Logic and algebra and such.  

I'm the ground hog that will pop up in four years to see whether the winter will continue.

The groundhog analogy breaks down for me when I think about the impending abandonment of what climate action the US had been taking. Will winter even be a thing in four years?

I was thinking more of 'our discontent' than cold. But, yeah, we'll see.

It was the potential double meaning that had me struggling.
