Busy day so far
Dec. 28th, 2023 12:13I walked the dogs this morning and got all the ones out and about that needed to be. Then I went back and got Khaleesi and we went out for a while. She's good for me and it was a really nice sunny day and we had a talk. Before her here are a couple of the ones I took out.
First is Duke. I've shown a picture of him before. He's a tripod. The funny thing about this picture is that he moves so much it is one shot of a movie. He doesn't stay still.

Last week I had him out and we were nearish to the road. He is apparently a car chaser (maybe accounts for the tripod) and wanted to chase. Damn near pulled me off my feet. He is strong and does not care how many legs he has.
This is Kota. An absolutely beautiful animal with a nice temperament. I'd never own a husky. They are way too busy, strong, and emotional. But Kota is not so much of that. Other than strong.

She is half a second away from leaping up to get the treat. Which she did.
I'm working on year end finances with Tiller and, of course, discovering all kinds of things I didn't know about or forgot. So lots of housecleaning to do.
I also got a note suggesting a date for some surgery I need to do. It is to put a watchman device in my heart sealing off the chamber that tends to create blood clots in those of us with AFIB. Once the chamber is fully sealed off I can come off blood thinners which have their own issues. The surgery is laparoscopic and about as safe as anything involving hospitals can be. I'll do the surgery and spend the night in the hospital. Only a PIA with the CPAP which no one but me seems to think about until the last minute.
I've got it scheduled for the 7th of Feb and had to change a routine dental appointment to the week before. Just another day in the life of being 70.
