Every day's a holiday

I was an officer in the Navy first time I heard this.  Our primary mission was to protect aircraft carriers from attack by Soviet air, ship and submarine forces.  After Glasnost I had the opportunity to go aboard a Russian ship and 'talk' with some of their sailors.  Everyone just doing their job.  

Some things never change.
