Not so secret society
Apr. 20th, 2022 12:52Long ago I signed up to do some gig work at a data entry company (Sigtrack) and after nearly a year they sent me a password. It is not huge money and may end up being not worth it but I'm looking into it. The deal is truly gig, almost like Prolific. You can sign in and do an hour's worth or more. Or less. The work is verifying that people who signed petitions are actually registered voters. So it is comparing the info on a petition to the info on the voter rolls. Lots of little rules that I'm weeding my way through. The negative is obviously that it is mind numbing work. The positive is that there is nearly no interaction with people and no one is cheering the group on. The only accountability is accuracy. If you get good enough there is a promotion to the level that checks accuracy. Other than that no one cares who, what, where or when.
They have some training occasionally. They have training today. It is scheduled at 4:20 this afternoon, the date of which is, of course, 4/20.
This is a laid back company.
