Tiller Day
Jan. 2nd, 2024 13:07I've made some progress with the 2024 spreadsheet system Tiller. Poco a poco. It is nice to have autofeed and I've set up autocat and am working on it. All of which means that the changes in my financial life are automatically sucked into a spreadsheet and allocated to their proper buckets so I can eventually get to having a one page summary of the previous day and my current status in the world of money with very little effort. And budget it all. And know whether I'm in trouble way before I need to know.
I'm not even close to any of that right now. I don't even have all my accounts entered yet. One of them will not, at the moment, autoconnect so that's a bit of a problem that I need to solve, and one of them only partially connects which is a problem that Tiller is working on. My Tiller subscription is free at the moment while they are working it out. Very nice of them. The cost is not huge but extending the trial is nice while there are initial problems.
Meanwhile I walked the dogs this morning and then came back and walked our two. SO I've done 11,388 steps or about 5.1 miles today before noon. After the Tiller thing I think I'll need a nap. The UT game kept me up way too late last night.
Tomorrow I take in the Smart Car for oil change and anything else it needs. Fingers crossed they are as good as them seem to be. It will be interesting to have only one car for however long it takes. I've often thought that we could go down to one car and would be loathe to buy a second one when one dies but we don't much test it. Our schedules, other than medical visits, are almost entirely in our control. I think it would be OK but no reason to hurry. Both cars have been paid off for ten or so years. I can't imagine having a car payment again.
I need to take a shower before the zoom call. Not that they are related. Just that having a zoom call while I'm in the shower probably won't work so shower right now.
