Kind of hanging around waiting for the Godot of my surgery. I can mostly move well enough (think Quasimodo) but I can't really walk our dogs and that bothers me a lot. I feel guilty.
I've got three more sessions (Tuesday/Thursday next week and the following Tuesday) at the Ranch but the way I've got the work there constructed there is not much walking. It is very hard to do but worth it for me.
Meanwhile I got a call from my dentist who is trying to scare up work when things are quiet. I've got a crown to be done and she is offering 20% off of such work for June and July. And, of course, the only time available is the 18th, my last day at the Ranch. I hate to let them down so I didn't grab the appointment. I don't really need to do it anyway. If anything goes wrong it will impact things on my surgery so as nice as it would be to get it out of the way I guess I'll still pass. Gives me something to look forward to in August.
The French Open hasn't been disappointing. I've been a fan of Alcaraz for a while and it looks like he's going to win. He beat Sinner who is number one in the world as of this coming Monday in a five set knock down drag out. They are both amazing to watch and will meet in the finals a lot more. My guess is that Alcaraz will win on Sunday and will be number two seed in Wimbledon with Sinner as number one which means they should meet on the last day. Djokovic might be done. He's getting surgery for a tear in his knee but he's kind of long in the tooth and even if he comes back Sinner and Alzaraz (whose combined age is not that much more than Djokovic) will be waiting for him.
So it has been nice to have tennis while I'm sitting on my ass doing little.
For the record and I'm not going to repeat this much but I'm already tired of Alexa warning me every day that it is hot and most days not to breathe with the air the way it is.
Thanks but no thanks.
I'd like to be able to set Alexa and the NWS to tornado and ridiculously dangerous thunder storms only.
