We'll be doing winter today
Feb. 13th, 2025 13:57Walking the dogs today was a chore. It was around 30 with a lot of wind. The Pyrenees and Huskies were thrilled. When I got there one of the huskies was lying outside. I had a tshirt, hooded longs sleeve, heavy sweatshirt, Austin FC scarf and a winter jacket. And he was lying around loving the cool weather.
I dressed up the thin furred babies and took everyone out anyway. Finally got done and came back home and collapsed. I realized that my knee and hip had been hurting all morning. The titanium ones. Cold weather.
OK, done with winter now, please.
Tomorrow is our 28th wedding anniversary. We were married on Valentine's Day so we could both remember our anniversary. Saves me buying double presents.
We're going out to lunch. Lunch, not dinner. It is nice to admit to being old.
Amazon is not doing well by us recently. We've had two deliveries that ended up next door. Both were delivered in the early evening and we don't have a light on our house number so that might be it. Google may not know what to call the body of water to our south but it has our address pinpointed. So they still should get it right.
My fix is to have them open our garage door and put the package inside. That is something they started recently and it works great for us. When we first got to the house I installed an Aladdin wireless garage door controller. It tells me when our garage door is opened (and if I remembered to close it). It automatically closes it after an hour if we do forget. And Amazon has the code so they just put the package inside. That way they can't get the wrong house. I've tested it several times with no problems at all. Good system. It is a little weird to be sitting in the living room with Dana and all the sudden the garage opens.
