Waiting for the bad news

bill_schubertThe insulation guy is here and up in the attic. He came down once and I said 'any surprises?' and he said 'yes' which, I suspect, is going to cost a bit more. We had 30 R rating when we built the house. It has settled, which did not surprise me.
Turns out he was only saying that they had not really measured correctly for 30 R in some places and it had settled all over. NBD. I figure and hope that it will only be $2k or less. He did say that the garage didn't need it, in fact shouldn't have more than the minimum, so we save some there. Not so many sqft.
Meanwhile my new watch charger came in:
Not as likely to turn it into a stove top. Turns out my burn is a 2nd class. Huge blister that will, of course, take months to completely heal. I've got one of the high end, fast heal bandaids on it now and, of course, my watch band fits over it nicely.
