For the second time our across the street neighbor brought us a dog that she had just found "I have to go to work, can you hang on to him?".




He's the cutest Golden Retriever. Probably six months old. Well trained, gets along with both or our dogs. House trained. But with no tag. No chip (I took him to the vet to check). No ID at all. No prospect of being able to get rid of him any time soon.

I'm cancelling the Valentine's/anniversary lunch we had planned. And we are now housebound for the duration.

It is not our monkey and I'll resent for a long time that he was dumped on us.

But nothing to be done. Dana is on Facebook and I went on NextDoor (and got a typically stupid response from someone not in our neighborhood about how thin he looks).

I really don't like being nice.

Did the two of you get married on Valentine's Day? Aw, so romantic! Happy anniversary!

Thanks. We'd both been married twice before so we picked Valentine's Day so we'd remember the date.
