my vote is to get the power. even my little laptops have 8 GB of ram. you don't have enough years left to waste them waiting for shit to load. and speaking of, maybe consider getting a laptop and adding the mouse, keyboard of choice and a second display... but, yeah, low power/slow is not fun.
