Yeast

I used my last one and a half T of yeast today making two loaves of bread.  Not that I need it right now but this is getting a little annoying.  Bags of 16 ounces of commercial yeast are available.  So useful in a residential grocery store.  Or I can buy what I actually want from Amazon for about six times what it should cost.  It is just really strange that something like yeast has not returned to the supply chain more quickly.

Now, of course, all I can think about is the different bread products I want to make and working on a sourdough yeast for a week is even more annoying.

First world kind of problem, I know.

Yours is a bigger and more annoying version of my perpetual problem that I want sourdough NOW but it takes two days to make. (I do have sliced wholemeal sourdough loaves in the freezer. I just want OTHER sourdough. AS WELL.)

Fortunately my sourdough desires are satisfied with no knead bread but I've got to have yeast for that and it does take a day to get it right. I'd make scratch sourdough but more for something to do than any real desire for it.
