The girl is doing well.  She is also flat out crashed on my floor riding the Xanax wave.  I give her one before going to the vet to keep her calm.  It lasts a long time with dogs so she will be dopey all day.

The doc says she is healthy.  She suffers from the same allergies as do we all here in central Texas.  In her case she's been retching some as the drainage gets in her system but the doc says that is likely all it is.  Probiotics for a week or so to be sure her stomach stays in good shape.

She has lost 4 pounds which is a really big deal.  She is a little chunky still and I'll keep the pressure on to lose some more.  It helps with her arthritis.  But the doc says the arthritis is better also.  Yay, walks!

The doc also measured the bumps she has but they all seem to be OK so she did not even aspirate them but is only watching for another year.

She turns 12 on the Ides of March this year and is doing pretty well.  Rottweilers typically top out before they are 10 but Pitbulls live as long as 15.  The same longevity is true for Australian Shepards.    She is mostly made up of those three.

She's had a lot of good care.  And walks.

I did a bunch today from taking Zoe to the vet to fixing the ice maker AND making a bread I'd not made before.  It is a seven grain bread that I'd bought the grains for a while back.  Two weirdnesses.  First, the recipe called for three eggs.  And secondly, and this has happened before with this bread book, I measured the flour using the scale as I am want to do now days and the dough came out really wet.  I've used this book for as long as I've been baking and always measure by spooning into the cup measure and leveling off.  Always works.  But now I use my scale for everything and for the second time it kind of weirded out the recipe.  I ended up adding more flour just so I could work it but the final dough was really too wet.  It was like NYT no knead bread.  Jiggly.

The bread is, of course, delicious.  But it is kind of cakey and does not slice very well.
