We lost and it was late
Mar. 13th, 2022 13:17 Austin FC soccer played Portland last night. The game started at 9PM our time which is, of course, 10PM 'spring forward' time so not only did we lose, we waited until nearly midnight to finish. I don't do midnight. I don't do much of anything after 9:30. So I'm off today along with the rest of the country (yeah, yeah, Indiana, Arizona, Hawaii... suck it).
At least it is not cold today. It started out near freezing but is reasonably warm now and isn't going to get cold again for the foreseeable future. I'm ready.
We've got a memorial service today for my nephew in law. It is on Zoom. First time I've done that. I'm going to be way in the background for it having only met the guy once. But the rest of the cousins and aunts and whoever will be there. No idea what is going to happen (hence me being way in the background).
That will complete my day.
Listening to: The Boys - Ron and Clint Howard
Kindling: The Cutting by James Hayman, a book I found using the Literature Map website and using Deon Meyer, a South African writer. It is such a fun way to find a book and I was not very happy with my free Amazon one.
