nice and quiet day
Jun. 20th, 2022 11:17This morning I walked Zoe and just moved right into bicycling mode, changing gear, watering up and topping off the tires. I did a double circuit that felt great. It was 80 degrees out and comfortable.
My bike chain had been skipping gears. I think it was never right from the last time I had it tuned up. There is a new shop that opened close to me and I've been waiting for them. I took in the bike. It took them longer than it should (new shop) but they did a perfect job. New chain and flawlessly adjusted so the chain moves smoothly between gears. It makes such a huge difference when the bike is running properly.
On Saturday I emptied out all but half a dozen of the pieces we have in storage that would not fit in the car. I'm going to have to get a van from Home Depot. Fortunately I'll only need it for an hour or so. It won't cost much and we'll be free of storage. We not have a totally unusable room but we never used it anyway so no loss and it will be one less monthly bill, one that works out to two Dinnerly orders. Two weeks of 4 Dinnerly meals. That is what we were paying each month to store stuff that will be thrown out when Dana dies.
STUFF sucks.
Now I just need to figure out when to get the van. They are not always available and I've got Dog Ranch tomorrow so maybe early Wednesday morning. As long as it is before 1 July we're good.
Not much else going on.
We started re-watching "The Wire" last night. Saw it long ago. It is still good.
