Dana was walking Toby down the street from our house today and found this in the road:

It is a 9MM Ruger hollow point round:

Bubba delight.
She called the local police to ask what to do with it. They said throw it in the trash. It had obviously fallen out of someone's car and was run over several times.
No respect for good ammo around here.
I went to my annual dermatologist visit to be sure I don't have any melanomas lurking. After many childhood sunburns and many years of tennis I'm careful. And it costs nothing but a bit of time. And I get weird stuff burned off every now and then. Dana was concerned about a nearly invisible patch on my face. She's always concerned about some patch or other. It is the benign ones that the non medical types notice. But I ask when she wants me to. Point out the possible problem.
It is a keratosis. Benign senile growth. Sigh. The dermatologist asked if I wanted it removed but I declined. Maybe next year.
Quiet day here. I scheduled a visit from a plumber to replace the garbage disposal on Friday. It is something I could do myself but the work is upside down and lying on the floor. After many years of working on my boat engine which is always upside down work, I'm not fond of the pain involved. So, I'm paying. The company I chose is a primary sponsor of Austin FC so they get the call. The work is a nothing deal for someone who does it for a living. Apprentice level stuff. Should be an in and out job.
I'm going out now to replace a sprinkler nozzle I ran over with the mower last week. No upside down work and it is 76 degrees here. Really nice cool summer day.
