My gym is ready
Feb. 16th, 2023 14:51As a result of my back issue I've been doing much more work on my abdominals and realized that I need to do more work on everything to break even. I've long wanted an exercise ball but never figured out how to store it. I sent one to GoodWill for that very reason. But I figured out a way to do it and keep it out of the way. And bought a six inch step that doubles as a balance board. So I'll be able to do most of what I need to do with what I have. No need to go elsewhere. I may one day add some weights but most of what I need to do I can do with my own body weight. Here is what my gym looks like when it is resting:

I've got the whole thing set up so that I can do what I need to do in my office which is little more space than maybe four yoga mats set next to each other. Very efficient and all neatly stored in the corner. I might build a corner shelf system to put the last couple of pieces that are still on the floor.
So far it is helping a lot. I was hanging with the hounds today and felt good for the entire time I was there. First time that has happened since mid December.
I am resting for the remainder of the day, though. If it warms up enough tomorrow I might ride my bike again but I'm not sure it is going to warm.
Today it was relentlessly windy, 20+ MPH, the whole time we were out with the dogs. It was terrible. The Pyrenees and Huskies were thrilled. Khaliese, the Pit Bull, was not so happy. She was ready to go back in shortly after going out. I took her back in an we wrestled on the couch for a while. I miss seeing her between visits and wish we lived closer.
