First of all, Zoe has me up at dawn to walk her and Toby before it gets too hot. Even then I'm dripping with sweat before we get back. First change of clothes and time under the fan to dry off before changing. Then it is either puppies of pickleball.
Doing either of those two activities means I miss the live Tour de France days activities and the beginning of the day's Wimbledon matches. Fortunately the Wimbledon is recorded. The Tour stuff is available but not until later in the day.
So after dogs or pickles I have Wimbledon to watch. That will be so until Sunday, the finals. It has been fun to see the lower level players and I'm pumped about Eubanks, a total surprise to me, the commentators and most of all to himself. He's been brilliant and is a great guy who will be around for a while. Every major tournament seems to have a breakout unknown. He's it this year. He's playing tomorrow and I'll see some of it in real time. No puppies or pickles tomorrow.
BUT we are going to see the newest Mission Impossible. It is a guilty secret of mine that I like Tom Cruise. He has been an absolute squirrel in his personal life but I don't spend a lot of time with him off screen so who cares. But his on screen has gotten better with every movie he's done. He has worked at getting better and holds his fellow cast members to a high standard just by being present and ready and good at what he does.
Anyway, off to see MI. Two + hours of exhausting trainwreck action. Then back to see the rest of Wimbledon and the recording of Le Tour.
And that does not even address the Wednesday and Saturday Austin FC matches.
Very full days. I'll be glad for the break once Wimbledon is over until the U.S. Open in August/September.
Then we'll be into the football routine which will seem tame by comparison. There is so little on the channels I have already and I'm not paying for NFL stuff. They have burned me out with more gambling and more premium channels. I watch what is available and not so much of that. I care less every year.
