Lovely winter-ish day
Mar. 26th, 2024 13:36I was wearing my winter coat today. With my sweatshirt and a long sleeve hooded shirt and t-shirt while walking the Ranch dogs. It was cold but REALLY cold with the 15 MPH wind that was blowing. The wind is always blowing at the Ranch. No trees. It increases the exhaustion factor significantly. But the dogs were great and I had a good time with them.
I walked two of the Pyrenees and got some action shots. They were pretty happy with the cool weather. They weigh over 150 pounds each and they love to jump around and play. It gets a little dicey when they are close by and suddenly think "TREAT MAN!!!". They are as sweet as they can be but I do have to pay attention.
And I got some nice shots of Shawn. He's the totally deaf pitbull land manatee. Whoever took care of him kept him well fed. He's also face licking sweet but can pull me down if breakfast is waiting at his compartment.
And he's got his 'I know you have a treat for me' face always at the ready:
I came back home and took our two hoodlums out and am now officially exhausted. 12K+ steps before 1PM.
Tomorrow I've got my Transesophageal Echocardiogram which is long hand for sticking a electric camera down my throat to look at my heart and be sure the basket they put in last month is still where it is supposed to be.
I'll be asleep but not looking forward to the post process sore throat.
BUT it will be nice to know that the hardware in my heart is in the right spot and, really, that is all that needs to be done with the whole thing. My heart is growing around the basket and the pocket that potentially could have caused a blood clot will be completely sealed off in a few more months. Freakin' magic.
After tomorrow I'll be mostly focused on getting to Florida and doing Blues stuff for a few days before we're back to the retirement grind.
