Last time shopping for a while

The store was too hard.  I'm recovered now but it too me nearly 24 hours to get back to my new normal.  Fortunately our HEB has free pickup with half a day's advance scheduling.  Makes it pretty easy.  Dana can go but not if the air is bad.

It is really not a problem.  We've got resources and access to what we need with minimal effort.  Just can't walk the isles for a while.

I did buy maybe a week's worth of dinners some of which will have leftovers so we're OK and can fill in the margins with store pickup and the store is five minutes from our door.  

Looking at the week ahead things are quiet until Friday when I finally see the nurse and bonecracker doc.  I've been watching too much of The Resident, not a good show for pre surgery patients.  The show has never seen an operation that doesn't end up in near disaster.

Meanwhile I'm watching a surprisingly close French Open final.  Watching with my Mom, as always.

Summertime in Prolific world

Studies are quiet.  A lot of the work comes from schools do we're in a quiet period.  I got on Reddit to see about the experience of others and most are bemoaning the dearth of work.  But one of them said it was the same on 'Cloud'.  I pulled that thread and discovered Cloud Research.  Seems about the same as Prolific, but in New York.  

I signed up and did a funny quiz and am waiting to be cleared for participation.  It might pan out to have two sources.  We'll see.

Meanwhile, the French Open is done and had a fantastic final.  It was worth the few bucks I paid to get a couple of weeks of YouTube sports plus. I think I'm good until Wimbledon, next month.  The other long form I love is the Tour De France but that is on YouTube TV without sports.  

Between those two and the Olympics I'll be happy.

I like watching them on my PC and having the Prolific screen on my other monitor.  If Cloud pans out I'll need t split my second screen.  But I'll be making back the cost of watching while I'm watching.  And recuperating.
