Number 2 is worse

I had someone tell me that with two hip replacements 3 months apart the second one was more painful. He has the same doc, same process but attributed it to forgetting pain over time.
I remember having one of those patient controlled pain med buttons with my first hip. The nurse kind of irritatingly tossed most of the liquid when I left. I think she felt I should have used more.
I'm making up for it this time. I'm in that post surgery space right now where my mind is thinking 'why' even though it knows the answer.
I'm carefully tracking my hydrocodone use so I get what I need but don't get confused and take too much.
Dana is being the perfect carer. She's napping now but has been there to hold my underwear so I can put them on and thinking of possibilities to make me more comfortable. I could not be more fortunate
Usually it is me taking care of her which I love to do. Now I'm practicing letting her take care of me. Not easy.
