No idea what the problem is with Billy's tail but he's got an ugly scabby lesion on his tail which, I'm sure, he made worse before he got his moon collar.

But they've got it isolated now and he can't get to it so it will be better in a week or so. I got him out of the collar and we went on our walk. He's known for biting people but was cool about putting the collar back on and even wagged his tail while I was doing it.

Meanwhile, it was pool day at the Ranch. There are a couple of people who fill and clean the pools now so the dogs can get in them. First is Texas in the big pool:

He jumped in and out by himself. No need for a ladder.

And Shawn, the deaf pitbull:

I was surprised that he liked it. Most of the pitbulls have had a bad life in cages and don't understand water. But I think Shawn maybe had a better life and isn't afraid of much.  But he does like his kibble and his treats!!

Meanwhile, I'm back inside before the major heat.  Nothing on the schedule today.  I will likely vacuum the carpets and steam the kitchen floor.

And then work on my books.

Tomorrow morning I've got fasting blood work where we'll find out if the Repatha is enough to keep my cholesterol way down or if I need to take Crestor too.  It is not a huge thing if I have to go back on Crestor but with the news on vitamins (aka they really are worthless) I'm no longer taking three pills and am down to a pill to slow my pulse and lower my BP a bit, one to reduce my stomach acid, a baby aspirin, and Zytec.  Plus I take CoQ10 because everyone takes it and the study that says it is worthless isn't out yet.  But probably will be one day.  Remember when EVERYONE was taking Vitamin E?  Or C?

It is nice to reduce medicines so my fingers are crossed.

I've got one more doc appointment to verify the watchman device is where it should be in my heart and is being incorporated by the surrounding tissue (super weirdness there) and then I'm done for six or eight months.  I think my next appointment is sometime long after the first of next year.  Other than a flu/covid shot in the fall I'll be far away from medicine for a while.  Super weird.

I just transferred about $30 to savings and checking.

Prolific has been good and I have not really even been attentive.  I had a few decent pay ones recently and a couple of high pay ones today.  When I cash out it all goes to PayPal.  I never leave it there but transfer it out immediately

The British Pounds can only go to my checking, not PayPal savings. No idea why.  That is usually a buck or two so I end up transferring $1.28 to my USAA checking account.

But the rest goes into savings.  Today it was about $28.  Every little bit helps.

I keep the Prolific account up and watch a movie or play a video game or something else on my computer.  Then glance occasionally at Prolific and see if something strikes my fancy as being worth the time without too much time.  I actually did one for an hour today, a first.  It was $12 so it was worth it monetarily and was only slightly annoying.

It is a great ADHD way to play games and watch movies.  Lots of interruptions and I get paid.
