Not so Smart ugh
Oct. 29th, 2024 13:24My check engine light went on as I was headed out to the Ranch today. It's 20 miles out and 20 back so I was mostly driving on hope. Once I got there I did check the oil and it was fine so very unlikely that whatever was going on was going to damage the engine. I called Luxury Auto and they suggested checking the gas cap. Which I did. It was tight.
I drove down and they put the tester on the car. It came back with an air supply issue. So some part is not pumping sufficient air into the cylinders. I'll find out more tomorrow when they give me a full diag and prognosis. My guess is $500.
The hits keep on coming.
Meanwhile I've got about $70 building up on Prolific so at least I can underwrite the Smart Car project a little bit.
That and halfway through the first Thursday Murder Club. Second time through it but the story is so rich and it has been a while that I'm enjoying it. They are making a movie from this book that should be excellent. Not soon enough for me, of course.
