It was 50 degrees at the Ranch today but felt a lot colder and then the wind picked up. I was really very tired by the time I was done. Happy to be in my Smart Car with its heated seats. A couple of years ago about this time is when Nanner, the 100ish pound goober of a dog decided to run me down and compress a couple of my vertebrae. They have finally healed but I remember months of turning on the heated seat to ease my back pain every time I got in the car. Worth every penny. I like the seats for the cold but even more for healing heat in my back.
But today the Pyrenees were happy.
Bandit and Texas

They didn't much understand what people were saying about the cold. All the short haired dogs were getting their coats put on when I left. The Pyrenees (and the huskies) were talking about how nice it was to lay around outside now.

It is supposed to go down into the 30s tonight. Not nearly as bad as Iowa, where my son lives. That is going down to zero.
I'm playing pickleball tomorrow but not until the afternoon group. At 1PM it should be tolerable.
This afternoon I've got a finance Zoom briefing with Tiller, the app I use to track. The plus side of Tiller is the same as the negative side. It has a lot of things you can change and the app, based on Google spreadsheet, changes frequently with user contributions. But all of that variety and choice means the user has to make decisions and do some thinking and configurations. Todays meeting will, I hope, give me some insight into getting things set up for next year.
I had some issues last year with the app so they gave me a free year. I'm paying now, or will be soon, so I want to be sure I'm getting my money's worth. It does help me be constantly aware of how much money we have and where it is and whether it is earning more money.
