It was in the low 40s when I got to the Ranch this morning but the sun soon warmed it up. Little to no wind so it was actually a really nice morning. I got there early and took out the usual suspects.

One of the nice things about being out early is the morning sun is just perfect for photos of the dogs. This one is Nicole, one of the Nick and Nicole Great Pyrenees pair. They obviously love the cold weather and were running and wrestling and having a great time. It is pretty funny to see two 150+ pound dogs wrestle. Good to not be in the middle of it. They are gentle giants but mass and momentum is what it is and not to be toyed with.
Duke was affectionate today:

Just another example of vicious Pitbulls in action. In the right environment he'd be pretty mean but with people he knows he is just wonderful.
I love playing with him and Duchess. I push them around and they come back like they are going to attack only to lick me or bite with soft jaws. It is probably something I should not teach them but they love it so much I hate to stop.
My schedule is empty for the rest of the day. The way it should be. Toby gets a trim today. He's not going to get much taken off since it is cold but he needs a bath and a trim so he can see.
Dana is handling that so I'm done for the day.
She (Dana) still has a cough. It is marginally better but she is four days past a month of being sick and they don't have much of a reason for it. She's had a CT of her sinuses and xrays of her chest and she's fine. But she has to have cough medicine to get through most days. The allergist who has promised to get to the bottom of what is happening is on vacation until the second week in January. She has an appointment with him then and we'll move forward from there. He's got some ideas, some things to try. All we can ask.
