Cold enough
Jan. 10th, 2025 07:30It's just over freezing here north of Austin. No complaints. I was signed up for pickleball today but:
1 - It is just over freezing
2 - The GT airport located adjacent to the courts reports 13 MPH winds. The wind chill calculator says that works out to 24F or -4C.
3 - I think the courts might not be fully dried out yet. We had about 12 hours of rain yesterday.
So, I'm thinking not. I've already cancelled.
So, grocery store. Maybe a haircut. And that's about it.
Dana wasn't feeling well last night. I've not talked to her this morning yet so I don't know what's up. We have a friend who has colon cancer and developed a kidney stone. She was supposed to have stone removal surgery today but was diagnosed with Covid. She and Dana went to an event in Austin just about the right length of time for incubation so I'm crossing my fingers that Dana doesn't have it too. She did have Covid and Flu vaccines in September so even if she does have it she should be OK.
