The deed is done

I just went over and swept out the storage unit and told them it was all theirs again. In my mind I was expecting 'thank you for the six weeks notice, we'll charge your card for another month and a half'. That I'd not read some clause in my contract. But, no, he said, 'all done'.
So now their price increase to $150 for 10 square feet of air conditioned concrete is no longer on my mind. I've added it as income in my monthly spreadsheet for the remainder of the year and will delete the line item off next year's budget.
It is nice to go through the monthly budget and see things are not quite as bad as they might be. I only cash out of Prolific when it tops 20 pounds. That has happened twice this month and will likely happen a third time. Nice pocket change.
I also stopped by HEB to stock up on water softener salt, charcoal, yeast and sundries. So nice to have the HEB close. They are working on the gas station part of our HEB. Once completed it will be as low as any gas in the area and a stone's throw away.
The rest of the day is quiet A/C time for me. I've picked up a Kindle of one of The Expanse authors. It is a fantasy book, Age of Ash by Daniel Abraham. I don't usually read fantasy books. But for him, I'll give it a shot. The nice thing about fantasy is that once it has its hooks in the ride is usually good. And he did write half of The Expanse, after all.
