Cold and wet

As a useless aside, is it only in Austin that the weather people have a 'futurecast' rather than a forecast? Competition can be good. It can also create idiots. And get off my lawn.
Anyway, now I've got to recalculate my wardrobe. I'd much rather be in shorts and t-shirt but it would seem that my long pants and sweatshirt will have another go this winter. Not that it matters much. I can just wear all the warm stuff on the plane. A while back I stopped checking bags and only bring a carry on for an 8 day stay. I actually plan on a 4 day stay with at least one round in the washer. My clothes are boring and more so for the fact that I hardly ever buy new ones so the long sleeved shirt I'll have in Seattle is the same one from two or three years ago and the trips every half year since then. So far the residents of the city haven't noticed or at least haven't sent me any mean emails.
We had a cold, wet, thunderstorm last night and the tennis (pickleball) courts were designated as being wet this morning. I drive to Georgetown only to find out that the courts were closed. They were really no longer wet but the tennis center has one lady running things on a day like today and she was not able to make any changes or change any decisions. So I turned around and went home. I was not even able to play on the backboard. Sigh.
So now I've got a day with little to do. It is slowly warming up and I've got some mulch to spread so I'll likely do that. Right now we've got mulch bags sitting around and since I'm leaving Sunday I should probably take care of them. The excitement never ends around here.
I've got to start thinking of battery chargers and headphones for the plane and such. Tomorrow is packing day.
