I had them cut my pony tail on the 18th of June. My hair has been growing since then and for the past week or so I've been trying to figure out how to get it cut. This is why I grew it in the first place. I hate places like SportsClip. I don't want to watch sports. I don't want a massage. I don't want to buy 'product'. I just want a damn haircut.
There is an Army base north of here and I had a plan to go there last Friday. Dana suddenly had an appointment breakthrough with a doctor she'd been wanting to see and then there was the car and the water. So, that plan was out the window.
We have a Sports Clips place in our HEB shopping center two minutes from our house. I was going to just grit my teeth and do it but they made the process so hard to get an appointment I couldn't do it.
Turns out in the next building of the same shopping center was a 'Great Clips'. Never paid any attention to the chain before but it is a stripped down shop. No sports. And they have a senior discount. $18 for a haircut which is right in my ballpark.
I downloaded their app and got on the waiting list and five minutes later was in a chair.

Your basic haircut. Should have gotten a before picture. My hair was pretty wild. Not that I care too much but my pickleball ball cap wasn't fitting well.
I should be good until just before Christmas.
I did tip the lady $5 figuring a $23 haircut now days is pretty good and I want them to stay in business.
