The short haired Pitbulls were all bundled up yesterday when I got there. Duchess was in a lovely soft lined coat.

She looked a little chunky in it but was clearly comfortable.

Khaleesi will not take off her coat. It might be the cold or it might be that she just wants to look good. I think she's ready for the runway:

Shadow, on the other hand, said: What cold?

A lovely morning at the ranch.

Daisey will be staying with us. I'll get a better picture of her next week. She was in her cone after being spayed. No more litters for her. The other three two month old puppies that came in with her were taken to a shelter for adoption. They will be picked up quickly as they are all three cute.

Daisey is really cuter but she's old enough that she will fit in with the crew at the Ranch.

I was the only volunteer there yesterday. The couple that usually joins me was not there. I walk six or seven dogs regardless of whether anyone else is there or not so I don't ask.

Today turned into a rainy day that killed pickleball after half an hour or so. Two of the other players (all there were women, as usual) met me at Starbucks and we proceeded to hang out and talk for a couple of hours. It was fun. They are both about my age so we could compare notes and marriages and children/grandchildren. Not something I ever do. I enjoyed it.

Turns out that today is Friday. Nothing on the schedule for the next two days. Army/Navy game tomorrow afternoon but that's about it.

I joined Dana at the docs yesterday afternoon. We had a really good talk with the allergy doc. He gave us some insights and we have a plan. He listened to what we had to say including what I had to say and he is taking Dana's situation seriously and is determined to find a path that will keep her safe and well.

You know, the way medicine is supposed to be.

It was really nice.

Meanwhile she is feeling a little better and is on the upswing. Now we're dealing with root cause testing some different ways to keep her from having a monthlong illness a couple of times a year.

Meanwhile, I'm doing well and have little to complain about.
