I rather liked Texas the one time i visited. The weather is good, the food is good, and right now there are several "boomtowns" where there are jobs available in the industry i work. I can totally understand people moving there from the deep south or the great plains - in many ways it'd be an upgrade.

That said, moving from a city on the west coast or the northeast, that seems like a tougher call. I imagine for most people it's an economic decision?
