Another exciting 109 day

Good thing there is no such thing as global warming and this will not happen every damn year from now on.  There were two days in the month of August so far that did not break a heat record here.

It was 82+ heat index when I took the dogs out today at 7AM.  I did a very abbreviated walk taking a day off.  

I've got one thing to do out of the house and then that is it.  I'm going to stay in my air conditioned cell for the rest of the day.  Tomorrow is going to be better.  Only 99.  Fortunately I've got sweaters.

But today.......

Word has it that Phoenix, AZ has 50 days of at least 110 degrees this year, which easily broke the old record...and more to come with the Labor Day weekend heat wave in the Southwest. There will be broken records away from the coast.

I was out for 20 minutes fixing something outside and picked up a clamp I'd laid down for a few minutes. I dropped it immediately. Too hot to hold. Amazing.
