Victory is mine

From such small victories is happiness built.

Just got a call from the DEERS office (the people who track ID cards and eligibility for all the good stuff) and our paperwork has been processed.

A lady I spoke with earlier at DEERS moved us to the head of the line and set up the call back to me so that we'd be processed expeditiously and I'd be notified.  I just looked online at the healthcare site and Dana is now listed as TriCare for life so her health care will be processed in the same manner with no further glitches for the rest of her life!!  

Now I can brain dump all the info that I just collected.

On top of that our Spectrum tech just left having fixed what was likely a long standing connection problem.  He chopped off and replaced a couple of connectors that were never really done right.  This happened as a result of our having lost Internet last night.  When we lost it I called Spectrum and got a great person who accepted that with my background I might know what I was talking about and moved on to do some deep checks.  He found a little problem that turned out to relate to bad connectors.  And they fixed them today.  Best service I've had in ages.

Now the house roof will probably collapse or something.

At least we'll have Internet and Health Care.
