Propane on the way

After buying my propane heater I realized that there was no propane canisters around here to buy.  I checked (online) all the local vendors but nothing.  So I ordered four from Amazon.  Weirdly, they are coming via UPS.  It kind of surprises me that you can get propane via UPS but not my issue.  The lack of locally obtainable cartridges indicates I'm not the only one getting ready for winter.  But I'm done now.  I've got everything I need and extra.  There's always food to buy but at any given time we have enough in the house to live on for a week even if it is not exactly what we might want.  It will keep us alive.  And pudgy.

Once the propane gets here I'm going to test the heater outside and burn off the new.  Oh, the one thing we don't have until next Wednesday is a CO sensor.  I bought a kind of high end replacement for the cheap smoke detectors that came with our house and I'm replacing the one in our bedroom.  It has a self contained 10 year battery and detects carbon monoxide as well as smoke.  

After I've tested the heater I'll do an inventory of what we have and fill out with anything else we might need.  

But today I need to buy two things.  Seems like a good reason to go to the store.  I might walk.
