I would have put the money returned from the dentist into the stock market, S&P, soon as I received it had I gotten it when I should have. Which means a bunch of it would have evaporated along with my IRA money. I don't look when things are like this but now I've got $1300 or so in the bank earning zilch and nowhere to put it. May as well be under my mattress. So I'm doing what first year investment students (were there such a thing) learn on day one to never do. I'm timing the bottom of the stock market. Good luck with that. I'm thinking it is soon but one never knows. I could always buy cryto. I hear that's safe.
In an hour or so I've got another Prolific home automation troubleshooting study to do. Yesterday was fun so I'm sure today will be too. They will put me in a virtual room (think Wolfenstein, if you know what that is) and give me some rules to test. Does the light turn off when I leave? Turn on when it gets dark? If not, use this tool to fix the if/then set up that will make it right. What they are testing is the human to troubleshooting software interface. It is interesting and pays $8 or so.
Saw my cardiologist today. Everything seems to be well. I've got an annual checkup next week that will check everything else and include all the bloodwork but I'm not expecting any issues. I think I'm glued together pretty well right now. Aches and pains commensurate with my 68 years.
On the way back from the doc I bought a smaller charcoal cooker. The big one I have can cook half a dozen racks of ribs but does not do well with a couple of pork chops. Dana has requested more cooking out so I got this. It is a nice, simple, made for direct cooking, kind of grill. It folds up so I can put it in the garage when not in use. It should last a while.
I'd smoke the ribs if I could afford them. They are more than double what I used to pay. On the bright side, my diet is lower in saturated fat.
