Working the pool boy
May. 23rd, 2022 11:42I'm sitting here going over and over the list of things that have to be done to have a fully running partnership company that cleans pools. So far I'm the only one that has done anything other than think about it. Fine with me. I've got time. We have a two hour meeting on Thursday where the rubber will meet the road and we'll see if we can actually work together.
Other than that it is quiet on the western front. There was an insane Austin FC game last night during which what is likely to be a strong rivalry was born between Austin FC and Orlando City. The latter had two players banned with a red card from the match. Lots of head scratching on Reddit by people who had never seen that before. Even with two fewer players it ended with a tie match and lots of anti-ref animosity.
I've never missed an Austin FC game from the first the team ever played to last night. They have flashes of brilliance and, I think, will be a stronger team year over year as they have a very good foundation. But they frequently have issues of brain dead play. Way too many of them last year and a couple of repeats this year.
Today is more French Open, the three hours that the TV allows me to watch. I decided not to pay $100 for the Tennis Channel. I'll survive on what they give me and probably don't need my life to be completely taken over by tennis. But it is nice to see the red clay again.
