I'm a bad ass pit bull
Jul. 5th, 2022 15:57I ran with the dogs today. They seemed fine after last night. The ranch did pick up a new dog that was running down the road last night. Probably got away from their owner's yard during the fireworks. I did not see him yet and maybe he'll be claimed before Thursday.
So a fairly normal day with good volunteer support. All the doggies got walked. I got to spend some quality time with Joey, the terrifying pit bull.

He's such a sweetheart and had a lot of energy today. He really wanted to get up on the picnic table so I gave him a hand and he was at my level.

I did some wrestling with his head grabbing it and hanging on as if I was going to take him down. He is such a gentle guy. I did keep my hands out of his mouth since he could do some damage. We did some wrestling and growling and playing on the group W bench.
He wanted people to know he was ON THE TABLE!!

First time I've been licked by a dog who could probably take my face off.
I finally had some help from gravity getting him to come down. He didn't want to get off.
By the time I was done with all the doggies I was exhausted and dehydrated. Took me a while to recover. Google Fit says I only walked 3.5 miles today. Fells like double that.
Fortunately I've had Djokovic to entertain me while I was recovering. Truly an amazing tennis player. As good as any I've ever seen in 60+ years of watching.
