Windy Dogs
Oct. 25th, 2022 13:13The wind at the Dog Ranch (prairie with little wind break) was 20ish MPH today. Having to work in that kind of wind is exhausting. And I think the dogs were a little hung over from last night's weather. This is what it looked like at one point:
Very typical Texas weather. We did get a bunch of rain but that kind of thunderous front is tough on the dogs.
On top of that we were short two volunteers (out of four) so I did an extra hour to make sure all of the dogs had a walk out in the sun.
And in the wind. Lots of wind.
Petunia is a great dane mutt. She's a good girl and not any trouble to walk at all:
She likes her treats.
As does Kota:
Easy to get a good picture when they are treat driven.
On my way out I stopped off for my time with the little ones. This is Polly. She loves being a lap dog and getting petted. Very cute:
A good, if tiring, dog day. My Google fit says I'm over 5 miles today and I feel like it.
