Exhausted and ready for a nap
Mar. 28th, 2023 11:03Not so sure why I was anxious about travelling but really it is an age thing, I think. I've flown hundreds of trips and seldom pay much attention to travel anxiety but I was exhausted last night. And this morning even more so as I had to get up at 6:30 (4:30 on my Seattle clock) to walk Zoe and then make it to my shift at the Dog Ranch. All a labor of love but it was 50 degrees with a 20 MPH wind. I'm really ready to nap now.
But the puppies were wonderful as always and we were all happy to see each other.
Dana's brother and his wife (or partner.. not sure if they got married or now) are in town. Family reunion kind of thing. They did make it to the motel so I guess all is well. I'm keeping as much distance from the event as I can which will not, I'm sure, be enough. Dana set it up and is jacked up on anxiety over it all. No surprise. The two brothers last saw each other in 2007. One of them is permanently bedridden while the other is reported to be developing dementia. So it is a goodbye tour.
I'm pretty sure I need to watch our dogs.
