Morning with the dogs
Jun. 13th, 2023 12:30It is hot, hot out now with more hot in the forecast.
But this morning out at the Ranch it was warm and cloudy with a nice wind, perfect morning to hang with the hounds.
This is Dan:

He's a nice older gentleman. Not so much into walking but we went out front and discussed the variety of treats I might have for him.
I don't know how old Dan is but he's up there. Just a good old country hound.
There were a bunch of volunteers today so I got to spend lots of time with my friends. I always save Kaleisi for last so we can spend time together in peace. There is a tree with some shade in front of the property and a nice chair under it. She and I sat there for half an hour or so just talking about the world.

She is my favorite dog. As sweet as she could possible be and so expressive:

But she is an absolute bull dozer of a dog. She will suddenly get the idea that she should nudge me. Like a Mac Truck or a football lineman. Boom. Then she'll roll on her back and laugh.
So tempting to think about bringing her home. I probably never will but I suspect she'd fit right in as if she'd always been here.
Quiet day other than that. Nothing on the agenda. This time of year until probably mid October the day is done around 11 and other than forays in the air conditioned car to an air conditioned store or something like that I don't much leave the boat.
