Another Thursday at the Ranch
Nov. 23rd, 2023 10:46I just got back from the Ranch where things are running as usual. We got all the dogs walked. Turns out one had died this past week. Actually put down. She had real problems with her digestion and was miserable and not likely to get better at 12. Lucky Nipper was the dog's name. She was a sweetheart. Somehow I never did get a picture of her but this was on their FB stream:

It was a bit of a shock to everyone. I had walked her last week and she was fine. So this came up quickly.
They started a list painted on the wall of all the dogs who have passed through the Ranch and moved on. It is impossible to get in one picture but you can see an idea of it:

I don't know the majority of them. They are the little dogs that I don't spend any time with. But I do know a lot of the names and it is nice to have them recorded.
Another great picture of Shadow:

And what she did next:

She's been around from the beginning of the Ranch too and is happy being there. And is a sweetheart of a dog. I'd consider having her at home if we were in a canine deficit.
So now it is quiet time at the house with leftovers for food (they happen to be really good leftovers so I'm not missing the turkey), football and my Kindle.
A good day.
Tomorrow is house decorating day.
