What day is it again?
Dec. 28th, 2024 10:43Nothing going today. No pickleball, no dogs, nothing. It was raining a bit this morning so I'm just as happy I didn't have PB on the agenda anyway. Nest play is Monday.
I've got one or two things I could do today. I need to go to Lowes to get a part for my orbital sander. I was working on making a better bird house and need to sand. Manual sanding isn't my thing. I might pick up a little more wood too so I could work on another one. No real reason. I'll probably make it and give it away but it is a good size and simple and there are a couple of things I'd like to figure out how to do.
And fix our gate. Minor but really annoying problem I've been trying to correct for a while. I've got another idea but need a couple of parts to do it right.
I'm sure there are other things I could do too. And I might think of them. Always a bunch of things to fix, benefits of owning a house.
Prolific is kind of quiet today as it was yesterday. All the researchers taking their vacations, I guess. Here I am ready to earn back some money for the car fixes and no one wants to play.
Having said that I did check the Connect CloudResearch site. It has not really been worthwhile to me but they recently promised that they would pay more and have better surveys. I just hit one worth a few bucks from Toronto. So I'll start paying more attention again.
This time of year it is especially strange to be not employed. I do kind of miss the structure but a real job would only interfere with pickleball and we can't have that.
