Looks like I'll survive for now

No word yet on a cause but I slept 12 hours and I feel much better. The next thing I've got on the schedule is Thursday morning so I'm cleared to just hang out and be sure.

So I had a fever for about an hour or two. Then felt like I had the flu or a UTI for one evening, then felt a little off for a day and then nothing.

WTF?

I'm not complaining. Anything that does not end up with me in the hospital is a win.

The doc went ahead and got me some drugs just in case. I went to pick them up and heard the number 89 for cost. Crap. Pretty expensive drugs but it was too late to back down. Turns out they were $.89. I didn't even earn a point on my Amazon card.

The still have my urine specimen and are doing a culture. That probably won't be done until very late today or tomorrow. It might still find bacteria or fungal issues and drugging might ensure. If so we'll be killing the last of it. Most of whatever it is my immune system and all those vaccines that keep me connected to big tech did their job.

Pretty good weather front for us. Some snow but not enough to do any damage. Everything is closed but will reopen tomorrow. Minor inconvenience in exchange for pretty pictures.

Turned out to be a UTI after all

 The culture of my specimen yielded indications of ecoli.  Dr Internet and good friend AI says that the bacteria in my stomach somehow drifted south.  Further research to follow.

If this is going to happen again I'd like to know why.  

I started my 89 cent antibiotics and put on a batch of yogurt.  

It will be a couple of days before I'm back to normal but at least we've stopped the progress.

Meanwhile we're watching an excellent History Channel documentary on Grant.  I don't normally watch documentaries but this one sucked me in immediately.  The only thing missing is Shelby Foote.
