Oh, so much better
Jan. 22nd, 2025 09:58One thing I can not imagine is life before good antibiotics.
I'm only on my second day of taking them and I feel 100 percent better.
So, better than last time but if this is going to happen very often I need to have a better system.
Research has not yielded any indication of why I got a UTI. My last doc, the first time I had the problem, was one of the best Internal Medicine physicians I've run into and he kind of shrugged his shoulders. As did the Internet. Apparently it is just a thing with older men. A favorite indication of most likely to have this is having had it before. Love that. Most of the sites give variations of the way women get UTIs since they are the predominate victims.
Weirdly I think my father might have had it once. We did not discuss many things in our family one of which was sickness. No idea where the hell that came from but once my father was having drugs planted in his bladder through his urethra. If I remember it right. I'm guessing, in retrospect, that he had a similar infection and they found a more painful way to treat it.
Last time this happened was in 2018. I've got the hospital discharge paperwork. I'll add the test info and treatment from this event so I can provide them to whomever deals with it next time.
Meanwhile, I'm done with winter. We had snow. We have cold. We have wind. Got it. Let's move on.
