I'm all taxed
Feb. 1st, 2025 12:24Just filed my taxes for last year. Fairly easy. Nothing new, all the same sources, all the same forms, all the same addresses.
We get $704 back and TurboTax charged me $94.
In two months I've got to make another quarterly payment so that $704 will roll over. I could have done it directly but I can make a buck or two putting it in savings for a couple of months.
Way better than last year when I had not paid any quarterlies and had a penalty. That was very painful. Not to be repeated.
Paying $100 a year to file taxes is an annoyance and really should not be necessary. But it used to cost me a lot more so I'm going to be quiet.
